Welcome to Saltsburg.

Saltsburg is a small, historic town that's big on charm! Three beautiful waterways and an expanding trail system make this the perfect destination for outdoor recreation. Here, in southern Indiana County. the Conemaugh River and Loyalhanna Creek join to form the Kiskiminetas, providing safe and scenic paddling excursions for the whole family, while Loyalhanna Lake and Conemaugh River Lake provide a tranquil backdrop for fishing and boating enthusiasts. The past remains of canals and railways have been transformed into the West Penn and Westmoreland Heritage Trails, covering over 25 miles of the surrounding woodlands. Our historic buildings are now the home to local shops, restaurants, and outdoor outfitters that are ready to get you into a kayak or on a bicycle.

Easy to find, this river town is the perfect get away! Just a 45-minute, scenic drive from downtown Pittsburgh will put you at nature's door.
