Last year, the Heritage Holiday Committee welcomed over 100 cars to their Annual Historic Car Cruise. The classics overflowed Canal Park and lined the streets of Saltsburg. West Penn Trail Triathlon

It's time again for the West Penn Trail Triathlon. This is a chip timed, paddle, bike, run event on the Conemaugh River and the West Penn Trail. The race can be done solo or as a 2 or 3 person team. The 7 mile paddle leg can be done in any non motorized watercraft from Conemaugh Dam to Saltsburg. The bike leg is 14 miles on the trail from Saltsburg to Conemaugh Dam and back. The running leg is 3.1 miles out and back on the Kiski section of the West Penn Trail. The team configuration can use any combination of solo or tandem conveyances but the timing chip must be transferred within the transition area between segments. Light Up Night

Celebrate the season with a night full of cheer at Saltsburg's Annual Light Up Night. Canal Park and the surrounding streets will be lined with over 80 trees, being decorated by local families, businesses and students. The Saltsburg Elementary School Chorus will sing and Santa and the Grinch will visit with the children. Join us for free crafts and raffles, free hot chocolate and cookies, and much more! 

Trees for the event are $30 each and come with either white or multi-color lights. To buy tree for your family or business to decorate, or to sponsor a tree, call Michelle 724-639-3728.

Visit Saltsburg is pleased to announce Summer Concert Series '17, taking place at the River's Edge Stage on Water Street! Lawn seating is available from our friends at Saltsburg Kayak & Canoe Outfitters, so bring a chair or a blanket, relax, and listen to some great local bands! The show starts at 4PM, but to truly take advantage of all that Saltsburg has to offer, you'll want to make this a day trip. Spend the morning floating the Conemaugh River or enjoy a day of trail riding on the West Penn and Westmoreland Heritage Trails. 

July 15th is our third installment and the show will feature Crawdad Joe, with a swampy southern sound, and Pittsburgh's Uncrowned King of Rock 'n' Roll, Norman Nardini. We'll have food from local vendors, works by local artisans and brews from Rivertowne Brewing.

Community Clean-Up at the Old Saltsburg Cemetery

Calling volunteers to help with a clean-up day at the Old Saltsburg Cemetery, located behind the parking lot of the River Hall (Saltsburg VFD). Clean-up is scheduled for 9am to Noon, and there will be drinks, snacks, and pizza for lunch. The township will haul away all of the debris that was missed from the first clean-up and branches from the trees that were cut down last recently.
